Default Lockers?

I hear it all the time, people telling me I need to get lockers. I don't go off-roading, nor do I have any close prospects of off-roading, but I like to have the look of an off-road truck.

Main questions:

1. What are they
2. What do they do
3. Any pics of them on your truck

They go inside the differentials. You can't see them and your right you don't need them.

A locker, locks both tires on the axle together so they will both spin no matter what.

If u don't go off-roading u don't need em cuz they are expensive and u won't need em unless u go off-roading a lot imo

You can get an aftermarket limited slip installed if you're interested in some better traction than an open dif (assuming you have an open dif currently?)

They make much more sense for someone who isn't looking to do any real offroading but wants more traction in snow or pulling your trailer off pavemet, or not getting stuck on wet grass in 2wd

In an open diff., the wheel with the least resistance spins.
