Well most likely slide right in but you have three pillars that have to go in the holes and be fitted correctly by yourself, then once they are in there you have to aim the lights correctly. Sounds maybe a little complicated but its easy man.

With yours being an 00, yeah, they will fit fine. Take out the old, put in the new. Just adjust them like Zach said to do. The only time mods are necessary are on the early 97's.

Can't go wrong with them. And no prob. Probably the next thing I would suggest doing to the truck for not a lot of cash is do an LED conversion. Gives the truck a great look, but is nice and light on the wallet.

Yes sir. BrowningSCrew has a write up for it. To do the A/C controls, dome, door lights, cluster, and all that, you'd probably only spend about $30, maybe less. Somewhere around there, but it really is worth it. A lot of people suggest going to Superbrightleds.com. A bit more than ebay, but a good place to start.

A couple other cheap and easy things to do are the zip tie mod and gotts mod. There are write ups on both around here somewhere. I could dig them up, if you want.
