Default Leveling Spacers

Hey all,

Has anyone ever used these kind of spacers vs. the fully round ones that require you to take off the whole strut and put them on the top ? I was at a local truck shop looking at leveling kits and the guy mentioned these from EBAY..He said these are easier to install but just as durable. Basically he said you just jack the truck up and slide these in under the coils ? I don't do a lot of off-roading. Mostly city driving with a dirt road here and there when I go fishing at the river or lake, but I am wanting to give my truck a little tougher look with some 33's. Currently I'm running the stock 235/75/16's and they are too small for my taste !

Any info on these spacers or any other basic leveling kits would be helpful. I have a 2003 XLT Reg Cab 2wd with 4.6L V8. Not wanting to go to big with something like 3.5" spindles, but looking to level it or maybe give it 2" of lift POSSIBLY.

THANKS ALL !!

They ride like total ***. I know you don't want big but I'd realllly consider saving up some more money and get the 3.5" spindle lift from rough country. It keeps all the suspension geometry the same as factory. Where as spacers put it at extreme angles. Your ball joints will thank you. Plus it's only 1.5" taller. It makes the 2wds sit like a stock, leveled 4x4

Thanks a lot. I appreciate all the info.

What would you suggest for a basic leveling kit if I don't go with the spindles ? I'm not too knowledgeable about coil spacers or any other leveling kits I've seen or heard of.

Leveling kit make the truck ride like crap. Period they all do the same thing. Do it right one time. Just save up and do a spindle lift and rear block. It will sit Like a normal 4wd and give more clearance for 285's.

After researching it some more I think that's what I'm going to do. I was looking into trading up to a 4wd but I cant take on another car payment till the wifes car is paid off lol

So for now its just some upgrading to make mine look better. First kid is on the way in a few months so have to save some money but when I'm able to, I'm going to get the lift kit and do it right. It's riding on stock 235/70/16s right now. When I get the spindle kit, should I hold on to it till new tires come or put it on right away ? I dont need tires for at least a year I'd say and wont have the $800 to spend when I am able to get the spindles...

I would wait for new tires bc you will have to align it after the lift, better to align it with the new tires. But it's up to you. You can put the lift on and align it now, and when you get the new tires align again, or just wait and do lift, then go get the new tires installed and aligned.

I have had both the horseshoes and the spindles, each by themselves and at one time had them both on with 35" tires. Rode like crap when the spacers were on, but now with just the spindles it rides really smooth like stock.

So I looked and could only find the 3" lift with 2" blocks. Where can I find the 3.5" ? I saw SpringTech 3.5" with 2" blocks on EBAY for $464, and the 3" spindles w/2" blocks from Rough Country is $439. Is anyone better than the other ?
