Default LED bulb Headlight conversion

Has anyone done it without Retrofit and just lightning headlights?
How's the scatter? good light down the road? I've been told they "can" be brighter than HID, but bright doesn't mean **** if you can't direct that light down the road.
Thanks!

There is a good LED bulb that is designed for free form housings. I have to find it though

I got Starnhill LED conversion due to the 3 sets of led chips rather than one, I've been reading reviews on them for a month straight, and these get some of the best reviews on Amazon, with an exception of Opt7 which apparently doesn't make 9007s, I also got LED switchback bulbs for my corners, I can't wait to put them in, I'll definitely keep everyone updated on everything, I just wanted to know if anyone had anything to say about them.
Only thing I'm worried about is the back spacing due to the fan...

Regardless of what anyone says, LED headlights in open housings are going to have worse output than halogen. They will glare. You will have a ton of foreground lighting, but little distance lighting, and high beams will be useless. Just because someone thinks they see better with them does not mean they actually do (high foreground lighting kills distance viewing, so even though you think you see better, you don't).

Bigtony and the01kingranch both have some (not sure what brand though) and have pics posted of the output.

LED headlights in newer cars were designed for them, and have a ton of enginering and design in them to have the output they have. You just can't slap any bulb in there and have it work right.

I've heard and seen plenty of videos showing how much brighter they are, I don't mind if I don't actually get any more distance that I currently have, but I'm hoping the illuminated area is brighter, I'm willing to bet I get a few more feet out of it due to the clarity.
I'll keep you all updated

Yeah, I got mine from amazon too, from all the reviews I read through the Starnill had the best reviews for our particular bulb. Can't wait for mine to get here.
How do you like yours?

My buddy has some in his Tacoma and they are BRIGHT! Sure it may scatter a little light but it's definitely brighter than both the halogens and the hid's he had in his reflector bucket. High beams work well too. I'll get the brand and get back to you guys if you'd like.
