Default Leaky interior common?

Have an 01 I bought about six months ago. When I got it I removed the seats and carpet in order to clean the interior. I noticed some water under the carpet. Lately when it rains I've noticed the windows are fogged up inside while no other nearby cars are. It also smells musty. I believe water is getting into the interior. Is this a common issue and if so where does the water come in at? I can't see any water coming in though. Thanks.

I've got got a 99 F150 that was facing the same problem. Contrary to popular belief, to fix the leak, DO NOT bother with any type of caulking or sealant. They just create a massive mess and in my opinion, don't provide the best seal. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a couple roles of weather stripping. Remove the rear window and scrape off the old sealant. Simply put the weatherstripping where the sealant was and place window back on the frame - that simple. I replaced mine about a month ago and haven't had a drop of water since. Good luck!

The material around the rear window outside looks really bad as well.

Was raining yesterday and I sat in the truck and looked for a leak. Two leaks at the top of the rear window. One is a pretty steady drip while the other is much slower. It looks like I can run some silicone or something along the gap between the glass and the trim on the outside to prevent it. I'm not going as far as removing the glass or anything.

Mine does too.. looks like it comes in through the top of the window above brakelight. That stripping it gets underneath and leaks behind the plastic piece.. I don't think it comes in between the glass and plastic, it's behind the plastic.

The proper sealant is called butyl tape, don't use anything else.
