I want to install a kill switch on my 2000 F150 5.4L pick up. I've installed them on older vehicles before but but not on anything newer than 1996. Where can I find a free wiring diagram and is there any precautions I should be aware of?

 

why? Just curious why turning the key wouldn't suffice

 

A "Kill Switch" meaning a hidden switch that needs to be in the on position in order for the truck to start, basically to stop someone from stealing my truck. I should have said "Hidden Kill Switch" in the title.

Nope, the best way is a fuel pump feed. I have one that is hidden, an kills power to the fuel pump. There are too many wires the receive battery voltage.

 

Fuel pump is a good idea, do you have a wire diagram or wire colors I should look for?

I'd do an inline with the PCM relay/fuse. It cuts power to the injectors, and actually will kill the truck if flipped.
