I say Leave it, especially because you would have to buy all the mounting bolts (the kit ones you'd likely run out of threads), and re work the fan shroud due to the plastic ears you cut off and grind the crush blocks out you welded in... Not a huge deal but I say leave it... But if you do pull it, you can sell it for $75-80 or so and make the $$ back on the bolts you had to buy

Plus you'll miss all the extra room to work on everything haha

I wouldn't have put one on to begin with(not trying to hate, I'm just about to make a point), but I have looked at instructions for putting these on, so I say leave it because it would be more trouble than it's worth to take off.

Nothing wrong with them, just Appearance things that come naturally to them aren't to my liking. I don't like the gap between bumper and hitch when you match bumper to fender and I don't like the frame showing below the bumper in the front. Then the process of having to lengthen radiator brackets, lift air intake tubes, lengthen shifter and e-brake cables are just steps in the process that I don't like. Nothing inherently wrong with the idea or design, its just I would prefer to do a suspension lift over the little things you gotta do on a BL.

Gotcha, that's understandable... If ya don't like em ya don't like em...
Not starting anything, just like to explain my point of view...

I for one like the space between the hitch and bumper, I have black fog lights hidden on top of the hitch for aux reverse lights...

My frame doesn't hang under the bumper with my 3" BL... I have a solid axle, so that cross member is gone along with all the other ifs bracketry...

but that doesnt matter, when you install an IFS susp lift you get a drop crossmember for the front that hangs below the bumper just as bad... Also the torsion bar drops are ugly and that cross member was the first thing I bent! They sell remedies for that drop, but you have to relocate the crossmember back 4.5" and drill new holes

And ya don't lengthen the cables for a BL, that would be sketchy haha, just a new bracket on the tranny and the e-brake you just slide through as the body lifts... No need to lift the intake, it moves on it's own and with cai it's no biggie... and it's just the plastic fan shroud mounts you move, Not the radiator mounts...

you have to relocate your lower control arms, and brake line brackets, as well as relocate the front differential and pull vacuum hoses through for slack with a suspension lift also relocate your torsion bars etc. ... I've installed both body and suspension, they each have things you have to move/relocate...

If I had an "all suspension" lift to get to the height I am right now, I'd have a 14" suspension lift, probably have to do something a little more crazy with the steering and have a hell of a ride with the huge arch on the leafs, short of spending big $$$ on a coilover 4 link setup

And the gaps in the front and rear wells? Easily taken care of

Most wouldn't know I had a body lift looking at the truck, except for all of us here, but not the average person

I have no problems with body lifts love the extra room to work on things and clean the undercarriage

Now I do like how you stuck Aux. Back Up lights on top of the hitch! I bought some Aux. Back Up Lights before I even got my windows tinted because I wanted way more light but I didn't like how they looked coming off from under my bumper but I bet it would look just fine the way you have it. Now I have 15% rear window tints and wish I had them more then ever but I'll just learn to deal with it.

Yeah I don't like hanging stuff under the truck at all... You can't even see the lights till they come on on my truck... I have pictures on here somewhere... I couldn't see at all with just the factory reverse lights, one of my favorite mods!

ok i have decided to remove the body lift after seeing the way my bed flexed when loading stuff into it im getting rid of it i might lift it right down the road or who knows SAS (dont comment on this at the moment i know how much a pain it is and the cost) the crush blocks are easy to remove the were sandwiched in tight so i just tacked them on... so my question is is there any one around my area that wants to come and add a 3" body lift to their truck and give me the stock parts? or what is the pest way/place to get the replacement parts mainly bolts? bolt lengths? salvage yard i will be picking up new fan shroud any way. i know it will be a PITA but i want it done and to me its worth it
