Default Installing 2" blocks Help!

Hey everyone, i'm kinda new to the truck scene been a Mustang guy. I did try searching this and couldn't find anything. I just went and got some 2" blocks today because they had taken the rancho blocks out for some reason. My question is the block is a little smaller on one side than the other, could anyone tell me what part goes toward the front the thicker side or the thinner side? Thanks

The thicker part goes on the back side towards the rear of the truck.

Its to correct for the pinon angle so all the angles are the same as they were before

Ok another ? I went to the local off road parts store and the block kit they gave me was a Doetsch for a 97-03 f-150 4x4 supposedly. Looking at the rancho instructions from the lift kit thats on it you put in the block then the spring spacer, but the u-bolts that came with the kit aren't long enough. So am i doing something wrong or are you maybe not suppose to use the spring spacer with this kit. If not it wont lift the rear at all because they are about the same size. I might just have to put it back together and take it back next week.

which kit did the u bolts come with?

if it came with a 2" block kit, I bet they are expecting it to be for a stock truck

if it came with the rancho kit (not sure whats in that kit) then maybe they arent expecting you to be using the added blocks as well.

U bolts are easy to come by. Any spring shop can make em for you on the spot and they dont cost that much either.

The u-bolts came with the block kit i just got. The rear is stock right now, like i said i think someone pulled out the block that came with the rancho kit or they never put them in. Since there were no instructions with the block kit i was using the ones for the lift kit and it says to use the stock spring spacer also so i assumed this block kit would also.

Well i ended up just putting it back like it was for now. But I did take some cranks off the torsion bars to drop the front down some to level it out. I took out 8 complete turns and it made it 40 1/2" all around and it looks good. The only thing is now when driving the front left tire squeals when turning left or even cruising at speed and hit a bump or something. I'm assuming thats because the alignment is off?
