You need something that actually shields the air from the engine bay and draws it in from up front. I set up a spetre custom deal and didn't see anything because I began drawing air in from the engine bay. Did the Gotts, saw at least a 2 mpg improvement and slightly more throttle response.

the only place the k&n isnt ideal is where you live! shamokin/trevorton, that fine coal dust will eat a motor alive
I've seen people put so much oil on that it would nearly block the filter from coal dust building on it. Some people think K&N filters are the **** and can't wait to put a K&N sticker on thier ride to show everone they have one. Putting a K&N in anything but highway vehicle is gonna put dirt in the motor even with a pre filter.
