I drive a 2003 Ford F150 Supercrew with a 4.6 Engine. I have never had any issues with the truck until now. When I make a complete stop the engine dies. I have to try to get it going again and keep it going so that I may continue my commute. Please help me if any of you have had this problem as to what could be causing it. Thanks.

 

Now I can't even get it to stay started. I turn the key and soon after it cranks it will die.

 

Will it stay going if you give it gas

 

Yes. As long as I keep my foot on the accelerator it will stay going.

 

IAC valve.

 

Is the IAC hard to get to?

 

No, it's on the throttle body, two bolts holds it on.

 

Yeah mine went out last year, it's a easy fix

 

No. Easy peazy on the 4.6. Top of the throttle body with the electrical connector attached to it.

 

Awesome. I'm getting the part right now. I love easy repairs.
