My truck dosn't come with fogs. So I'm going to install some with an independent switch. I could turn em on anytime. That would be my suggestion. Just new switch time.

ah so it takes some destructive like work....I'll pass.

I saw a 2010 maybe, lincoln truck with beautiful blue fogs and only his running lights on....made me want to do the same...but not if I have to remove parts off of the switch.

heres one where you can have them on all the time, and you only have to splice 2 wire together

So iv thought about this myself on my 97 f150 just becuase somtimes brights and fogs are needed at the same time the current switch prevents me from doing that. Im shure that all is required is find the wire from the fogs to the switch add a splice figure out if that wire is a hot or ground probly hot then just run a splice from the batt or ground to a new seprate switch then to the splice behind the main light switch.

Or you could find the two fog light wires under the hood splice those together then run them into the cab on a new switch that would elimate the old all together without risking damge with just an override and if want to go back to stock just undo the splice under the hood wire it back up to the original harness wires

I hope that makes senses. I havent done this yet but it shouldnt be that hard really just trace some wires make shure you dont back feed anything.

It's not as bad as it sounds.

ive also wondered about that... the only way ive found to have both the fogs and the high beams on at the same time, is to hold the lever back towards you, which is obviously impossible to do while driving, unless for a few seconds... the minute you click it forward for high beams. the fog lights go off.. so stupid
