You got a good set then. I actually got my first set for free when they first came out (was at an auto show and they gave away a set every hour or so), those lasted me 5 months. I have had 3-4 more sets and as said, none have lasted for a year, most are the 6 month range.

I'm not an expert, 03F15012 is not an expert, but this guy is, and THIS is what the expert has to say about it.
If you don't want to agree with the facts and think your setup is OK, that is fine, but be aware that you have less usable light output vs halogen and are blinding others regardless if they flash you or not.

Ive had 3 HID kits and the longest lasting one was 3 months...

ran mine for about 6 months but they just suck in my headlights just ended put my stock builds in just ordered 6k piaa bulbs and led bulbs for my fogs

Those are projectors,they're actually an upgrade..

These are not just for looks like the recon or spyder crap. These projectors properly focus the light and have a high/low cut off inside the housing to dim the lights. I have them in my truck with 5000k bulbs and can see reflectors for the bigger part of a mile on high beams, but don't blind anybody on lows.

what's the cheapest I can do a good nice retrofit for?
