Default Help with reading these codes please

last week i bought a 2001 Ford F150 4x4 with 5.4L V8 engine. i got it home and it was running pretty rough. so i put the code reader on and it gave me like 7 codes at that time. so this past weekend i decided to do an oil change, change fuel filter, change plugs and cleaned the MAF. i also fixed a rattle that was under the steering column and fixed the compass/thermometer. i also ran some injector cleaner through the truck. i think this truck had been really neglected. the interior was really dirty, so i have begun to clean that up also. now the codes that are coming up are as follows:

P0174
P01131
P0305
Mil on monitor 4 INC
Catlyst EVAP
O2 snsr
O2 htr
4 ready misfire
fuel comp egr.

i know that the P0305 is a misfire on cylinder #5, but i really dont understand any of the others that are showing up.

Hmm. Those are a strange arrangement of codes. Can you post up the actual codes of the others?

Kinda got me wondering.

i appreciate that information, i took a look at it, but did not see the code for P1131 and i was also curious about all that other stuff that came after the codes. i think one of those had to do with the o2 sensor, but the other stuff i just do not understand.

Try to fix the cylinder 5 misfire first. Then rerun the codes. Clean the plug socket with a round wire plumbers brush, WD40 and rags. make sure you plug is good when you put is back in. test your COP. Use di electric grease on the connection. (available at Autozone or other for a few bucks. ) If you fix the misfire, I am sure that some of the other codes will clear. Look also for oil leaks from valve covers and coolant leaks and fix as necessary.

could also be caused by a bad injector although less likely. A bottle of injector cleaner to the next tank of gas is low cost maintenance

i have run 2 bottles of injection cleaner through already. i kinda thought the same thing. i am hoping that once my COPs get here on friday or sooner that it will help. i also saw tonight when i got home that my PCV valve was not seated in the grommet all the way and it was probably causing a vacuum leak. valve was working good, as i could feel a good strong suction on it. probably gonna replace the grommet tomorrow it did not look like it was such good shape. like i state before this truck was really neglected.

i know that the P0305 is a misfire on cylinder #5, but i really dont understand any of the others that are showing up.

P0174 = System Adaptive fuel too lean (Bank 2).
P01131 = Lack Of HO2S11 Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean.
P0305 =
Cylinder no. 5 misfire detected.

Mil on monitor 4 INC = Malfunction Indicator lamp (MIL/CEL) is on. You have 4 monitors INC, meaning not ready. The monitors are, -
Catalyst.
EVAP.
O2 Sensors.
O2 Heaters.

4 ready = 4 monitors are complete. Which are these monitors, -
misfire.
fuel.
comp.
egr.
