I did wrong the first time. Found a youtube video and did it the correct way. Nothing happened. So I guess it's the starter. Damn.

Sounds like it. If you know your way around tools it won't be hard at all. You'll just need extensions I believe.

Yes I do most of the repairs on my truck and I have all the extensions. Crappy part is the passenger tire is parked right next to a big snow bank that I will have to dig out and there is snow and ice on the ground.

Changed out both the starter and solenoid (Just to be safe) and it started right up. Truck has 205K and the original starter so I had a tough time with a couple of bolts but overall wasn't too bad.
