Default Help me

I have to get new tires on my 2001 F150 screw with the 5.4 v8 2wd. I also need shocks so I was planning on a 3 inch lift with shocks included. I need recommendations on an all-terrain tire with a decent warranty that ain't extremely expensive. Also I need a good lift kit with shocks that ain't expensive as well. Thanks

What is "extremely expensive"? My top tire recommendations would be the Goodyear Duratrac, Toyo A/T II, and the BFG KO2. Duratracs are great tires but fairly expensive. Toyos are also pretty good, not as good looking and still kinda expensive. In my opinion BFG KO2 is the best cheap tire out there.

Tires are like women though, everyone likes a different one.

Expensive is $225+ per tire i Aldo need something with a decent warranty. And from what I see the duratracts have no warranty

Duratracs have a 50k mile tread wear warranty, Toyo A/T II's have a 50k mile on the LT rated tires, and 65k mile warranty on P rated tires, and the KO2s have "T/A KO2 All BFGoodrich® tires have a Standard Manufacturer's Limited Warranty, which covers defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original usable tread, or for 6 years from date of purchase, whichever occurs first."

What size tire are you looking for? How much warranty do you want? Are you looking for an LT rated tire or P rated tire? I personally would get an LT rated tire with a load range E.

Pathfinder Sport SAT from Discount tire.
$137 each, has a $40 rebate on 4 tires. You can get Certs for repair and mileage. Total out the door (depending on taxes) is ~$670.
I have them and love them (although I have P tires, not LT).

edit: hmm, seems no discount tire in Alabama. You could order from Discount Tire Direct (they cost more on DTD, but should price match Discount Tire) and have them mounted locally.

I almost got the some Cooper AT3, but the Discount Tire by me did not have them in stock but was impressed by the Pathfinder tire.

It usually depends on who you go through believe it or not. Some places will not give any warranty, Walmart for example won't give you a tread wear warranty, but they will give you a damage / defect warranty.

General Grabber AT2. I have a set on my jeep with 50k miles and they have worn very well. Bought a set for my truck earlier in the year. Forget the exact price but they were very reasonable.
