Default Help!

Alright guys I got two problems I need help with..my rear window is leaking onto my back seats, how do I fix this problem? Also I went to have my exhaust done the other day and I was just going to do a muffler back but I have an oddball dual in single out and noone makes a muffler that fits. So I was just looking for some recomendations on a good SI/DO or DI/DO exhaust system from the cats back for around 500-600 dollars. The cheaper the better cause I'm just a high school kid trying to have a awesome truck

Here's a how-to. It's not too bad of a job, just time consuming. Cleaning the old stuff off takes time and elbow grease. It must be cleaned well to get a good seal.
An extra set of hands helps when it's time to remove and install the window, it's just awkward to do yourself. Other than that it's mostly cleaning and scraping old goo off of the cab and window (the time consuming part).

Things I learned by doing mine twice because it didn't seal the first time.

1..DO NOT use the caulk type window weld that is in the how-to. It makes a huge mess, doesn't come off of the seats and interior, and still leaked on me.

2...buy a strip of BUTYL TAPE, roll it on, press it in place, and no mess, no fuss, and a perfect seal.

3...the hotter the weather, the better. Softens everything up.

4... when you re-install the glass, work around in a circle tightening the nuts little by little. Give the new seal time to compress as you slowly tighten it.

5... Add an extra little gob of Butyl tape around the bolts for extra leak protection.

All in all not a bad afternoon job. Take your time and take a little more for the cleaning part. The second time I did mine in a single day went much quicker. A lot of the time I spent the first time was trying to dig out all of the #$%&# silicone that the PO tried to use to stop the leak the first time (and failed).

They make 2 into one mufflers. Go on the net measure your piping and order one to fit have them install it. Clamps are a joke. Pipes hold moisture in between the clamped pipes and rust out faster. Have it welded on
