Default Heater Problems

Today it took almost 20 minutes for my heater to kick on and still wasnt hot just barely warm. Whenever i would accelerate i would hear a gurgling type noise from my vents and never when i would just idle. The A/C portion would work fine no problems at all. Any clue what could be the cause of this? Thanks for any help.

Not sure about the sound its making . Put try to flush the heater core first . Easy first step . My truck was doing the same , no heat. I could feel the temp change from cold to luke warm but not hot. I flush my core out and it now burns me out.

How do you flush the heater core, by that do you mean chemically flush the coolant system?

All I did was pull the 2 hoses that run to the heater core off the motor side . Used the garden hose to flush water thru each hose . Your garden hose will have a bigger opening . I just used my hands to hold the hoses together. If you have a small nozzle that twist on and off , it would be easier . Do each side 2 or 3 times untill the water coming out is clear. Put your hoses back on and top of your coolant..

Lil advise make sure engine is cold . Cause it will burn the snit out of you. Lol

A few days ago i noticed a small puddle of liquid under my truck but didnt think anything of it but now i realized what it is. As i filled it with some water noticed a small drip. Gonna run it to a mechanic friend of mine tomorrow morning.

Update: Earlier i placed a little cup where the drip was and it filled up about 1.5 cups of water. Also the leak is on my drivers side. After the mechanic ill give another update.
