Well went to my mechanic today. Let the truck run for about an hour and couldn't see a leak anywhere. So no clue whats going on now. When i drove today my heater worked without hesitation and no gurgling from the vents. He said the gurgle was more than likely caused by my coolant being so low there was air in the lines. So gonna watch it for a few days and see what it does. If nothing changes gonna do a flush on the entire system to get some fresh coolant in there. Is it that hard to do it myself?

It's not that hard. Just pull the hoses off at the heater core, and put some heater hose on each side and flush with a hose. You can also use some. compressed air and blow through, sometimes that can loosen dirt up in there. you'll have to buy new o-rings for the connect ends. The reason is there is a restrictor in one of the heater core hoses and dirt and such can get stuck in it.
