Default Headlights.

I'm going to be ordering new headlight housings soon, probably the black lightning. I thought about the sylvania ultras. Then I saw the ZXE. Anyone had any experience with these. I heard they are about as bright as HIDs. Do they last awhile?
Thanks,
Robert

According to Sylvania, the ZXEs will not be as bright as Silver Star Ultras, but have a blue tint that "looks" more like HID. Any time you add tint to get a color effect, you are by definition decreasing light output. The question is whether the (probably VERY minimal) decrease in light output is worth it to you for the cool color effect.

I just put the ultras in last weekend, I am impressed I didn't expect that much difference just with bulbs.

I bought them a long time ago for a different truck and never installed them, and this is the first vehicle I've had since that they fit in.

Just buy 6000 or 8000 hids they are brighter and IMO they look a lot better plus they have a lot longer life

Do you have a 6000 or 8000 hid kit that you recommend?

I'm running silverstar ultras, had them nearly 2 years and love them. They put out a nice white light comparable to some HID's

My truck is on the left to give you an idea on brightness. If you don't want to spring for an HID kit these are the way to go.
