Will a honey comb grill fit and bolt up to the other stock f150 grills. Mine is a 99 lariate and I want the honey comb grill just don't know if anybody has swapped them out before

 

So I've been reading that the 99 lariates come with honeycomb grills? But mine didn't. Can someone help me out please?

 

97-98 have totally different grilles than 99-03.. if you find a honeycomb for 99-03 yes it will fit. They don't bolt in anywhere but should fit.

 

So they do make the honeycomb grills for 99-03 then right?

 

Be careful though. I do believe the inserts are a different shape concerning the 99-03 150's. The H-bars and HC styles for those years might be different. I know the 99-02 Expy insert and the 99-03 H-bar insert are different. Just ask me how I know... If you change the surround with it, you'll be fine though.

Your best bet is to go pull one from a junkyard. Not sure if you'll find just the grille online. Maybe LMC Truck

I bought a new surround to get it to sit flush, plus an extra insert. I'll give you the one thats on the truck for not a lot of cash. Its not a flush fit, but all the clips do attach, and is secure. So, no worries besides the gap.

 

Yeah I'm going to the junk yard this weekend to look for some more parts so ill look at grills while I'm there

 

Cheapest way, it is... I paid $20 for mine.

 

I'm kinda lost with all these grills. I'm sorry lol. But what is the H-bar and HC grills and the expy grills look like. Sorry for asking
