Default Gotts mod

Thinking about trying the Gotts mod out on my 97 v8. Just wanna hear some peoples opinions about it, and any tips on the install.

Do it and pair it and with a Wix, Amsoil synthetic, or aFe Pro dry filter and enjoy. Some people have unrealistic expectations of it and are disappointed. It will give a little gain just don't expect to throw you back in your seat. Be sure to unhook the battery for 30min-1hour to reset the ECU.

I just did mine yesterday, the biggest part of the install is sanding down the pvc pip to get it to fit in the oblong hole, other than that, for the 10 bucks i spent, you can really feel the difference on the hwy, my truck doesnt feel like it struggles up hills or passing other cars now! But like others have said, dont expect major gains in hp, i felt it a little in my truck, but like i said, its more for the hwy.

I didn't bother with the pvc, used 3" tin air duct. No shaping required

i did it in mine the other day but i havent really driven it since so i dont know of any improvements yet. the throttle response was better on mine. When i sanded mine i got it to where it would just go in there and then took a scrap piece of 1/2 or 3/4 inch plywood and a hammer and beat it in there so its got a perfect snug fit.(got tired of sanding the pvc and i was running out of pipe cause it kept getting thinner)

Use the thin walled sewer pipe. You can easily squeeze it into the oval shape. No sanding required.

I cut my end at about a 45 degree angle also. I was worried about the flat cut end butting up against the outer wall and restricting flow.

Did mine last year, made one hell of a difference.

I too used thin wall sewer pipe and just sort of bent it into place. I already had K&N filter so I just left it in.

Best $10 mod out there!!!

x2 or x3 I used the thin walled sewer pipe. No sanding required.

I just did this mod a few days ago, but I also got my Edge Evo at the same time. I am noticing improvements, but I'm sure it is a combination of the gotts mod and the programmer. Either way, great inexpensive mod. Cost me $15 bucks (the gotts mod not the programmer).

This is all really good to hear guys, I got a long highway commute to college so this should be great when I'm highway traveling. And I like the sound of the sewer pipe and no sanding; what size pipe did you guys use?
