We got a 97 f150 and wanna do be Gotts mod I've been reading about it but Id like to know how to do it.
Can someone ease help

 

just get a 3" diameter piece of PVC pipe, shave down the outside of one end so it will fit snuggly into the fender hole. remove the stock air box snorkel and stick the pipe in to hole where it came out of, use a 3"X3" hose coupler to connect it to the air box

How far into the fender hole does the pvc go? How far out of the fender hole does the pvc go? You say use a 4-5" piece so is that 2" in the hole?

Put about 2" of the PVC pipe into the fender hole. You should have to force it a little bit but not to the point where you can barely push

 

it goes in the fender about 2.5", thats how far the stock one goes in.

for the 97-98s idk how far it sticks out, i just kept cutting it shorter till it was the right length, cause you cant use the stock snorkel for measurements because of the fitment
