When o got the truck the man claimed that it was already custom tuned by sniper tuning? How would I know?

You won't know for sure until you get a programmer on there and find out what strategy is on there. To work to their full potential the LTs need a custom tune for them.

I just checked with the only local place that will dyno tune my truck. I need an SCT and it's 500 for the tune. But if I buy them together it's 700$ for everything! What do y'all think?

IMO unless you're going blown the value of a dyno tune vs. a custom email tune is nil. Get a programmer and custom email tunes and it'll be good.
