Default Got me

Hi guys, i joined a minute ago cause I have a problem with my new( 2001) 150. Radio works, cassette player in dash works,CD changer works(in storage compartment behind seat). When I say they work, everything does but I get no sound from all three. Is there a circut breaker on the back of the radio? all fuses are good. Got me scratching my head.Dan

I wish I had a dime for all the Ford radios that I replaced under warranty for no sound
Yes, check the fuses and for power into the amp
You know the radio and CD player have power
Not sure what all fuse 1 controls, but should be more than just the amp
Anything else not working?
Good luck

Looks like you have the same setup as in the Sport Utility models. There are 4 fuses, fuse 6 15A in the Power Distribution Box, Fuse 3 10A in the Mini Fuse block, Fuse 5 20A Mini-Fuse block, Fuse 8 5A in the Junction block.

Fuse 6 hot all the time, powers fuse 3 which in turn supplies power to the Radio, Rear Integrated Control Panel and the CD Changer. WHT/PPL wire
Fuse 8 hot in run or acc powers the radio also. BLK/PNK wire
Fuse 5 hot all the time, powers the Amplifier and Sub Woofer. LT GRN/PPL wire.

This are from my Chiltons manual wiring schematics.

Well it might of been a waste. Got everything togeather, still no sound. Started looking under dash better (w/mirror) and found an ALPINE amp(premium sound package 2001).Could all the splices be to add the amp I just plugged in and bypass the factory alpine? does the hot from fuse box go to the input side of amp? It now goes to output, whith the input side getting a blk from plug/harness WTH? Dan

Well I'm turning to you guys for some answers. I'm having a hard time wraping my head around this radio mess. I pulled the ALPINE amp just to get wires straightened out some and give myself a better viewof the entire set up. Did my premium sound package come without the ISVE61 amp and if it did does that mean my ALPINE amp was factory wired? I'd like to go to OEM set-up. Can I get rid of the ISVE and go with just the ALPINE? Can I get the ALPINE tested to see if it is ok. I'd like to think I can go back to the way the truck came and get rid of all the extra wiring. I'll be happy with 45 watts not 80. Thanks everyone, I know this may seem redundent, but as much as I've searched I just can't get the answers I need. Dan
