Default got a issue, need some help

so i had a nasty miss fire on cylinder #3 & the infamous intake leak, not to mention that the COP mounting hole was broke on cylinder #3.

so i replaced my intake today, followed my instructions to the T, took tons of pictures of all vacuum lines, etc.

got it all back together & fired it up, right off the bat i notice the sound of a major vaccum leak, so i checked all vacuum lines, found nothing except the 2 lines coming from the EGR pipe to the DPFE i plan on replacing them tomorrow, but for a quick fix i wrapped so tape around the leaking spot, that did nothing.

also it still had a miss, i'm thinking its a fouled out plug on #3 but i will have to pull it to check for sure, i highly doubt its the COP because it is practicaly new (replaced about 10,000 miles ago) except this miss sounded like it was on more than 1 cylinder, so i took it out for a test drive on the test drive a lot of the issues cleared up as i drove but still didn't seem right, also i had no CEL pop up.

the vacuum leak sounded like it was around the base of the TB but i couldn't tell for sure, i put about 4-5 miles on it in the test drive, got it good and warmed up.

i'm wondering if some sludge may have fallen down one (or more) of the intake runners. and from the looks of it i need to do it anyway but if i ran some seafoam through it through the intake it could help with any sludge that may or may not have fallen down in it?

i'm at a loss here guys and gals, & this is my DD so i need it back up & running by monday morning. thanks for any help

A can of carb cleaner with the red tube to concentrate the stream will help you pinpoint the leak... Also an unlit propane torch can do the same thing... Spray around and listen for changes in idle...

Just because a coil was replaced 10k ago doesn't mean it's still good, these coils can go bad at the drop of a hat at any time especially if they're exposed to moisture at all... I like to seal the boots with dielectric grease when installing the boots onto coils and plugs...

If cylinder #3 was missing for a while, the plug could very well be fouled... Pull it and inspect...

When ya replaced everything did you make sure all elect. connections were solid? TPS might be a culpret for the idle, but the leak could be anywhere. I could hear the hiss of the vacuum suckin' away but without actually being there to pin point were the sound is coming from i'm at a loss. Tell you what tho, while you where moving the camera around you could hear a difference in the loudness of the leak, how bout you take the camera and kind of pan around in a clockwise motion and the listen to the video yourself? I know with all the noise going on with engine running you might not be able to hear location, but using the mic on the camera might help you pin point it.

You can hear the leak I use brake cleaner spray it on we're the gaskets are the idle will change even us smoke from something the leak will suck it in then pinpoint it that way depends what you have around the leak is mostly it problem onces that's fixed the rest will adjust and be fine again

well guys.. i feel dumb having to admit this but i hate threads that end un answered when i search, so i got it fixed.. it was the PCV valve elbow that you have to install on the replacement intake that dorman makes.. i forgot to install the o ring that seals it, i found the o ring in the bag of bolts that the intake came with when i was cleaning up my tool cart.. but on the bright side, its all fixed and running like a champ again
