Default Gear selector help

So I was driving my truck today and when I went to put it in park it wouldn't go all the way to P and now it sits to the right for every gear. There were no hints at a problem prior to this or when I left my house 15 mins prior to this. I'm wondering what you guys think the problem is and how expensive it is to fix it myself or at a shop, also is it ok to drive like this-seems to go into gears fine just doesn't line up correctly. I included a pic of how it sits in drive and in park. Thanks

They're are brass torx screws underneath that plastic cover in top of your steering wheel that hold down an arm for the shift linkage. Check an see if those came loose, they're famous for comming loose. If they're tight, then grab a flashlight, look under your steering column behind the dash and you'll see this from the floorboard point of view. Just tighten or loosen the wheel, and see where the little red needle goes on your gear selector

I took a look I'm not sure bolts you were talking about but I did look underneath and saw that looks like it might be broken, would someone be able to take a look and compare thanks

That is the problem. Go to a junk yard and swipe that white piece off another truck.
