Gear change help
I have a 1999 4x4 xlt supercab 5.4l. My question is do all models that year have the same front end and rear end. If not point me in the direction to identify which ones are in my truck so I can order the correct gears. I'm a pretty good shady tree mech, but I'm new to working on 4x4's. Thanks guys. Don't hate on me cause I'm stupid, just want to do this right.
Should have a 8.8 axle- reverse cut in the front and 9.75 axle in the rear.
Talk to Wayne at diffs only for more information and pricing on gears.

Thanks, thats what I thought. But just want to be sure. I was thinking of going from 3.55's to 4.10's. It has 32's on it now. I want go more than 33's on the next set of tires. Will I notice that much (seat of the pants) with those gears. I know in my mustang, you really felt a difference. But it don't weigh 5500 lbs either!
My shade tree is better than most. 2 Car garage with more tools than most. I'll do the rear end for sure. That's a pretty easy swap. Done my share on Dads race cars. The front end, I might let the local shop do it. We'll see...... Thanks for the advice guys.

funny, thats cool. I totally understand. I wish this was just a bolt on. The front end is just lazy factor. I just don't have time to deal with the transfer case and independent suspension. Like I said thanks.
