Default Fuel Pump failure- help!

My 2001 F150 is at the dealer for a new fuel pump. It's the 3rd one in the last 10 months! Every time the truck sits for 2 months, it won't start and the fuel pump is dead- no fuel pressure at the rail. The dealer confirms that it is the pump. It has been replaced for free the last 2 times because the dealer gives a 12 mo warranty, but has anyone heard of this problem? What can be causing it?

Thanks

Maybe ad some fuel stabilizer every month? Or three weeks? I wouldnt know exactly what to do but maybe the fuel is going bad in the pump?

The same variable exists here, the dealer. I'm sure they are using the same part each time....if it fails again try a different brand pump.

Two month old gas should not be unstable enough to eat a fuel pump. You didn't accidently get E-85 did you?

I didn't use E-85, but I'm in California and the gas is EPA stuff. Still nothing that can eat a fuel pump. None of my other cars, or anyone else I know having this problem. I'm new to Fords and didn't find anything that looked like a recall on fuel pumps.

The dealer is replacing it, so I don't have any control over the pump that is used. I just got it back and he said Ford changed fuel pump suppliers.

There was no fuel pressure at the rail... That's my point. The dealer confirmed that it is the fuel pump, so it was NOT the relay, fuse or low electrical charge. I was hoping to find out if Ford got a bad load of Chinese fuel pumps or some other news... Maybe anyone else have the same problem? (or even hear of it?)
