Default Front brake locking

My 150 has a bad pull to the right. Later on, the left caliper would not release and would heat up and smoke, and eventually release. I just put in a new left caliper...garage told me that this was the problem, and I still have the same symptoms. Is there a proportion valve or something similar that isn't allowing the caliper release? Or is it possibly the Master cylinder? There doesn't appear to be a kinked flex hose or anything.

Most likely its the rubber hose leading to the caliper, the heat can cause them to collapse and work as a one way valve.

My "father in law" had this problem but with the front passenger side. After spending HUNDREDS replacing everything brake related. Turns out the axle seal in the rear was leaking on the brakes which caused the front passenger to lock up. worth a look

Picked up the new brake hose, and they gave me the wrong one! Have to try later.

Try these got them at 4wheelparts. Stainless steel, just installed them today definitely noticed a difference in brake feel.

Thanks Jolly. I already replaced left flex line with the standard rubber line and that fixed the problem. Turns out this is a common problem in F150's. Works great now!

No special tools takes about 30 min to install with bleeding. They even come with little rubber plugs so when you pull the old line you plug it so you loose very little fluid. Just make sure you bleed them when done to be sure there's no air in lines.
