So even though the axle to the 4x4 diff spins freely and the tires spin freely, the actuator must be at an angle towards driver side to be disengaged and not straight up and down? Why is everything still free then its obviously not in 4x4... It really feel like its rubbing on something and kinda skipping, but NOTHING is touching. **Just checked outside** The actuator is actually slightly towards the driver side when in 2wd, not straight up and down.

My truck is a twist button. Yes drive shaft spins when in 2wd. The driveshaft is locked when in 4x4.

Yes, at full or close to full lock. Pulling in or out of driveways etc...

Gotta be the cvs binding. Are the measurements from the knuckle to the axle flange equal on both sides?

Ok u tcase is locking in then. Now if u actuator is working correctly as the other fellow is helping u with. I have another suggestion. U said that the actuator moving when u lock the truck in and out of fourwheel drive. But ur front tires never pull correct? If the actuator is working as stated then ur next step is inside the diff. There is a collar that the actuator moves side to side. Sometimes this coller breaks causeing the 4 wheel drive not to lock in. U can find a thread on here somewhere showing pictures of this. Don't remember where it is.

I see why u said that now. I thought he was saying it wasn't locking in fourwheel drive. I did read the post I just read so many about 4 wheel drive I got them mixed up. Sorry for the mis understanding.
