I found one kinda like that. But it was where you just ground off one of the relay sides. I suppose you could put a switch in between like that though.

When I found that original thread, the guy had just put a jumper wire in, between the relay terminals. I thought it was a great idea and went to do it, when I found that switch. I figured the switch was an even better idea since I just flip the toggle to turn the mod off, instead of having to remove the relays and pull the wire.

I figured that it was alot easier than pulling the headlight switch, putting a jumper in between the wires, taking the switch apart, and grinding down the switch ramp to allow the switch to be pulled when just the parking lights are on. And it gives the same results.

so are your fog lights on all the time now with that jumper wire? or does your switch inside still work?

if you still use the switch inside, how is it possible to have fog lights and only parking lights, without grinding the ramp inside the switch?

04 and up was alot better design, the switch can be pulled out for fog lights in any position other then off

^^^ My fogs are on anytime my headlight switch is on. If I wasn't so lazy I'd run a switch inside in place of the toggle switch in the relay box so that I can turn them off anytime I want from inside the truck.

oh i see, so anytime you have parking lights or headights on the fogs are also on?

i guess that means your factory fog light switch does nothing now?

that does sound fairly easy.

i had a 98 and i did the jumper wire behind the switch and ground the ramp to get parking lights and fog lights, but that does sound easier.

Yep thats exactly what it is, and yep I just leave my factory foglight switch in the off position, and my fogs are on anytime my parking lights or headlights are on.

It was definitely easy took me maybe 5 mins at the most to do, and for me it was entirely free. Free things are always good.

That's true, but they still shut off when you flip the high beams on. I did the *Bambi* mod by running a wire through the fusebox so now I can have highbeams&fogs

i did that as well, but at least the switch does not need modding to have fog lights come on with the autolights, like the older trucks did.

I took switched voltage and used it to ebergize a relay that is connected to the battery. Replaced the fog light bulbs with 2004s and they are on all the time using headlights or not.
