Flowmaster of no muffler?
Hey guys. I currently have a Flowmaster 40 series on my truck and loving the sound. But everyone seems to like a loud truck more. I'm thinking of replacing the muffler with a pipe. Still currently have my catalytic converters. So what would sound better muffler or no muffler?

First ?, how old are you. I only ask because removing the muffler all together is a very childish thing to do!! Also, IMO sounds like crap and you'll have no back pressure from the exhaust anymore and likely loose power. Plus you WILL **** OFF everyone that has to listen to the noise you're making....

Nothing says "hey look at me I just got my license" like an exhaust with no mufflers.
I hear the louder and taller your truck, the smaller your you know what.
It's only what I hear though. Mine is lowered and whisper quiet.

Reamzer,
I like a quiet rumble. The stock Mustang GT's always have a nice, mellow sound - without being obnoxious and or annoying.
Let those Chevy boys do whatever they wish.
You don't need to be following them.

well, that would be your definition wouldn't it, one without a sense of humor. Cut to the chase - yea, it might not be a good idea, - in case you haven't picked up on that yet.
