does the 40 delta sound louder than the super 40?

 

Not sure about the difference between the 40 delta flow and the super 40, but I have the 40 delta flow si/do and it really isnt that loud. If you are looking for a loud flowmaster I have been told the super 44 is the loudest they have to offer.

 

No a delta should be a tad more mellow. The super is a little louder.

 

I have the delta flow 40 2 1/2 inlet and dual 2 1/4 outlets and sounds good and loud.

 

The delta flow 40 series is supposed to be quieter inside the cab (delta being the 3 flow chamber inside the muffler that lowers resonance).

 

Personaly I don't like mufflers lol but I would go with the 44

 

Are you going for loudness or better flow ??? Cause flowmasters are chambered so your not gonna get good flow good sound but not flow..

 

Just get outta the flowmasters and do more research on different mufflers. Do somthing different and dont be like everyone else

 

I have a Super 44 on my Chevy. They are louder then the 40 and have a really nice rumble. I love it for about 45 min, but driving longer then that starts to get annoying. I was debating between a 40 and 44 for the Ford. Not sure what I'm going to go with. The Deltas are supposed to have less drone inside the cab so that's most likely what I will get. I love the flowmaster sound and I noticed a big difference between the 44 and stock muffler power wise on the Chevy.
