Default F150 supercrew

Major problem I'm from San Antonio TX currently with a 2001 f150 5.4 supercrew cranks does not start we thought it was a bad fuel pump...replace it yesterday with new one checked all lines n relays all ok but yet just cranks not starting other thing is the theft light blinks more than usual not sure why ....desperately need help without it I can't go to work anything helps.

Using the wrong key maybe? The correct key has an RFID chip inside that communicates with a transmitter on the steering column. Sometimes people have keys cut for the doors but don't reprogram them for the anti-theft system. Apparently.

Well its the only key I have unless I go get a copy or get one straight from the dealer

Did it start and run before? Not clear if you just bought it, non-running, or if everything was fine until it stopped starting.

everything was fine running n all came home from work Saturday morning moved it out to take another truck out and went to start it up again & that was it it would crank only

Have you verified you are getting fuel to the fuel rail?

Do you have spark?

BTW, if you were using the wrong or defective key, your theft light would be on.

Well like I said earlier it's the only key I have unless I go get one from the dealer

Are you sure the "theft light blinks more" isn't your imagination? Mine just does a steady flashing until I turn the key on.

Looks like you just have a typical no-start issue. Spark and fuel checks are the usual starting points. Spark is the easiest to check.
