After you check or change the motor mounts and if you still have a vibration when driving, have the driveshaft checked for balance. I know this won't cure your problem at an idle, but the two could be separate problems that are related. Just a thought. Cab mounts wouldn't give you a bad vibration at an idle, but neither would the driveshaft. lol. Did you check your flexplate when you had it out? Is your rear driveshaft 2 pieces? When the trans was out did it get separated if it is 2 pieces?

4.2? Not sure.. But the 4.6 Triton likes to spit the spark plugs. When you go to sleeve the hole you must be sure the valves are closed on that cylinder. The bore and or taping tools can damage them if you don't! The loss of compression at that cylinder will make it shake/rattle like a Harly Davidson

The Crankshaft Pulley should be installed on the Vibration Damper in the same position before it was removed.

Just calling 'em like I see 'em

BTW, it is hilarious when a "solution" is posted, and backed up by a graphic that has nothing to do with it.

Why the front cover removal post? Huh?

The OP said he replaced the converter. I asked about the flywheel and he said it was ok. Did you notice that in w01ves first list that the converter was listed as a problem? That goes back to me asking about the flywheel. I've seen Ford's with AOD (4r70) transmissions, where the flexplate/converter would not center. It would give you a constant vibrations.

OP, has the front of the motor ever been off that you know of? Anyone mess with the timing chains? These are metal gears, so I doubt that they would move a cog. So, unless the front has been worked on, I doubt it is there.
