My parents paid 33.6k in 2003. The 04's were on the lot and they I knew exactly what I wanted (haha i was 16 and spoiled). I told them a black FX4 03 model. THe guy then took us 30 miles away and I walked in the show room and there was my truck beside a 2004 black lightning with identical price tags.

So this was my first vehicle, and until i pulled the motor all I have done is change intake gaskets, change oil, and put gas in it. 123k with no problems. Changed one wheel bearing and two coils.

Turbo stuff has me in about 20k with a pretty much bulletproof bottom end. I went overboard with the internals (didnt really need oliver stuff). I have a pretty good job with the DOL now, so I spend about .25 of my check on parts, just dont have much time.

The bmw is stock. Bought it in 2011 when I was teaching at WVU.

Hope to help my dad buy a 2015 eco boost for his bday this December. Parents have been execpetially helpful to me in college and in high school. I have a niece and a nephew, so he wants to haul them around but still be able to haul stuff around so a white crew cab eco will be here soon.

He is sure his eco will out tow me, but I am very seriously doubting that lol.
Once I finish under the hood, frame reinforcement time.

I think the bottom end could handle 1500 - 1700 if the block held up.

If my parents gave me $33k my truck would be a bad bitch lol. Straight axles on 44s with a nasty charger on top.
