Same setup with a different tune will yield much higher horsepower levels which will require more mods to run efficiently,.ie bigger exchanger with fans and bigger maf.
Personally if it were me in your shoes to be safe I would get the sct maf and a bigger exchanger with fans and not worry about it. Last thing you want to do is tear into it again to add more parts that should have been put on in the first place.
Probably will find 2# to start with
I'm ok swapping HE's later since they seem to sell like hot cakes

I know it's completely separate. I found a stock HE $100 shipped so that's why I'm asking.

Ya I know it is separate. I atleast know that much just saying both temps will be elevated running boost while towing so upgrades will be needed

LOL. I'm aware its a separate system also... I want this engine to last a good long time, so I'm not gonna max out the tune. I'll be better off playing it safe. I'm just trying to find out what the limitations of the stock MAF are. With basically just the addition of the 6# lower, would I have to worry about "pegging" out? I'm going to look for a good H/E w/ fans, but to get the build going I may use a stocker and add a couple vegasbaby fans. Just depends on what I can get the best deal on.
