The OEM actuators were redesigned later as they failed frequently. I replaced the ones in my 2000 in 2003 - one had not worked for a long time and the other finally failed. The ones I put in still working good. Not much of a chore to replace.

Could the actuator also be causing my doors to lock themselves 3-4 times When I hit the button?

Ok here's a question I don't have the remote for my keyless entry so I just use the key but this morning when I tried to unlock the driver side door with the key then went to open and it locked itself again took me 3 tries to get it open the passenger side has been doing the same thing for a month now. Any ideas? Could this be the actuator too?
