Default Need more hp

I love the torque of my 5.4 but the hp sucks *** I've already put a cai and dual exhaust on it and it still wouldn't outrun a moped I've had all the service done on it

Simple CAI and exhaust will not add a whole lot of hp maybe 5-8 MAYBE. If you want some more power long tube headers, a programmer with a good tune. Those two are simple things and just basically bolt on's. Can go the route of boring out the engine and some type of forced induction, but that is a lot of money.

Skip everything else and just order a Roush kit. Put it on yourself and enjoy the truck like you never have before....

I've thought about that but a runner is like 400 bucks how much do they add and I don't want to dump a whole lot of money in it to get it to 300hp when I can trade for a Chevy with the 6.0 that has adequate hp I love ford but they wouldn't out run my polaris ranger when it comes to hp

A runner? and a chevy 6.0 has power yes, but it is also a 2500 and heavier. If you want to put the money into it these 5.4 triton's can put out a lot of power.

I meant a tuner lol I'm using a iPhone so spell check does crazy stuff but will a tuner add a lot of power I'm just so tired of havin dodge 318's pass me on the interstate when I'm to the floor but on the other hand when it comes to towing I couldn't ask for any better

Oh haha okay. A tuner will add a good amount and with your CAI and if you add some longtube headers a proper tune file for your tuner will add quite a bit of more HP. Bolt on longtube headers can be up to an extra 30 hp maybe even more maybe even a little less, but headers alone are a noticeable difference. And if you're on it on the interstate and 318's are passing you all day then maybe something is wrong with it.

But these trucks are for working and towing not so much for out running things. You'll just have to put money into it to get more HP out of it if that is what your heart desires. Nobody will guess your truck can get up and go and beat their hemi's (y)
