I did the Gott's Mod last night and left the battery disconnected until today. I took it for a drive tonight after work and initially it hesitated when pressing the gas from a stop. It was acting like it was starved for fuel but then it smoothed out and appears to be fine. In fact, feels to have more power than before.

Just curious - normal?

 

I woulld guess so, but I'm not sure. Probably just the computer resetting itself

 

I did the mod last week and I noticed a little more power and it definitely runs better on top end. I didn't disconnect the battery, it's a good practice but there really wasn't a need to disconnect it. I'm going to say it was probably just the computer. Neither the mod nor disconnecting the battery should cause a problem, but vehicles are funny occasionally. As long as it's running fine now, I wouldn't worry about it.

 

yes, the computer needs to reset or re-learn after the battery has been disconnected . It usually takes one warm up cycle or about ten minutes of driving.

Anytime you d/c the battery its going to run a bit funny intill it gets all the parameters adjusted ..

You do need to unhook the batt..

Has anyone ran into the problem of after extending the 02 sensor it his the bottom of cab?
