I recently got a 03 F150 XL Ext.Cab 5.4L 4x4 w/ a 5 speed. For whatever reason I dont have a Tack in the dash. I dont really want an after market gauge on the column or any thing. My question is where can I find a dash that looks stock with a Tach in it and how hard would it be to convert it?

 

really sharp looking truck you got there and if your looking for the gauges with the tach in it id say check junk yards/ebay/or craigslist good luck!!

 

I have never ever heard of a 5.4 with a 5 speed unless it was custom. Are u sure its a 5.4?

I have they put them in the 250's but in this case u might have a 4.6 or a 4.2

 

I knew they put them in the 250 considering my fad has an 05 with a 5.4 5 speed but in a f150 no

 

Yeah if its a V8 and original it has a 4.6. Half tons never got a 5.4 with a manual.

 

Now correct me if im wrong but couldnt you pull the gauge cluster out of an automatic to get a tach? Or check jcwhitney.com, its where I get most of my truck stuff and I know they do gauges and clusters

 

Yeah. The tag under the hood says 5.4L. I was thinkin it was a 4.6 until this week when i was tracking some wires I liftd the hood and saw the sticker. Thanks for the feed back. Ill look around for a new dash. And Captain chairs while Im at it. Dont like the bench seat.
