CV angles
Interesting. Your cv axle is still at a pretty sharp angle yet the cv joints arn't right next to the casing.. weird. my2003Fx4's cv axle looks about the same angle but it looks so much worse? Or am I seeing things?
AZ if you look at the mounting points for the LCAs they aren't dropped perfectly straight down, looks like they might pull the CVs out a bit... I think that has somthing to do with it and a slight less angle too maybe...
Thanks for puttin the pics together too... your angles do look the same but the LCAs are out from center a little more with the Fabtech
The lift has drop cross members that have holes (visible in the pic) for the LCAs and (not visible) for the Front diff to drop also. That's what I'll be lookin at, to lower the front diff to help with CV angles. Every inch counts with those things and an inch is all I can get with that unless my other Idea will work but I have to look at the clearance between the LCAs and CVs at full up travel

I'll letcha know once I get into it... Once I have some free time this week I'm gonna get under there and really check it out... I've got a couple Ideas after layin under there for a few min today.
To Tell ya the truth, I could probably fab up a whole IFS drop for the truck minus the knuckles but then again you could always drop the UCAs too. Just don't know how much I'd trust it
HAHA plus I don't wanna buy that much stock just to mess around or be like one of these retards

... a couple small brackets for the front diff shouldn't be bad at all and if it doesn't work, No biggie...

Bro, if you can use a CNC machine you could definitely cut out your own IFS kit... it can't be that hard really. And the few parts that would be hard to make you can buy seperately.....
I have access to CNC machines that my buddys dad owns at his machine shop in Gardner MA, I used to work there... Also have access to a welder and torches, I talked to Rough country and asked if I could buy just the knuckles, They said no they can't separate kits.. So I said I'm buying my friends kit and he broke a knuckle and bent the other one in an accident
. Then they said I could buy the knuckles for $129 a piece Haha... So $258 Plus the $ for the stock, and Misc parts (stabalizer links, nuts bolts washers), time to build and install... Might as well just spend the $1,000.00 and get a warranty with it I guess
If I can drop the diff 1-2" and get 1-1 1/2" higher in the front I'll be happy... just don't know how the ball joints'll do

I don't know if this one was on there or not but check it out, the guy used 1/4 of another chevy frame and used it as a sub-frame!! check out those T-bar drops!!! HAhaha sweeeet
you'd think with all that "fine" fab work he'd weld some coil buckets on that bish!! obviously only wanted to keep it stock with that frame and all right?
