Default COP and Spark Plugs

Which would be the best to go with in these 2 catagories? For the spark plugs an coils?

I have an 2002 F150 5.4L 4X4 SC.

yeah. There isnt any real gain by blowing a butt load of cash on some fancy shmancy ignition system. Many of those so called performance coils are just rebadged by the manufacturer. I know of quite a few 4.6L cars putting down ginormous power numbers with OEM ignition.

after all, its damn near guaranteed t work and easy to find.

I would go for upgraded boots for the cops. Don't forget to add dielectric grease to the boots.

No reason to upgrade the boots.. Waste of money.. The dielectric grease is good though. The biggest reason the coils fail is because of the extended time on changing the plugs. The larger the gap the harder the coil has to work to jump it. As a plug wears the gap gets larger. Plus firing through the normal buildup on plugs. OEM Autolite or Motorcraft is perfect.
