this morning when i started my truck it was running horrible like it has been except kind of worse almost stalled out when i tried to accelerate so i accelerated slowly kept it at about 2000 rpm then out of nowwhere it started runnin awesome lotta power i stopped to head back home rpms were at 1200 lately its been at like 700 i took of again and it even peeled um at low rpm when i got home i put it in park and just sat in it for bout 5 min it idleing at 1200 then the rpm jus drops to like 700 and the trucks running horrible again i had disconnected the battery when wireing up my sound system before idk if that affected anything i'm very confused any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you getting a CEL (check engine light)? Sounds like a COP going bad.

Change fuel filter? Could be clogged, then something shifted in the filter and it ran good, then shifted back and clogged again. The crap symptoms fit a clogged fuel filter though. Give it a shot, they're cheap enough.

i've changed the spark plugs coil pacs fuel filter hecked the iac egr and maf no difference

have you checked your fuel pressure to see if maybe your fuel pump is on its way out ? i know it seems like out in left field but ya never know....

thats a good idea man i'm thinking it's that or injectors now because it started to have random like missfires that only last a few secounds when i turn the key on you can clearly hear the pump and it sounds pretty normal to me this little problem is rueining my faith in ford i'm gonna pull all the injectors tommorow get them redone and if that doesn't work i'm gonna give up and just trade my 97 for a 79

Test your fuel psi first man, it's much easier than pulling all your injectors. It could sound just fine when priming but still be weak.

Could be something as simple as water in the tank. Try some dry gas first just to see.

i draied all the old gas before i started using it i've ran bout 2 tanks of premium with injector cleaner but thanx anyways all imput helps
