Default Clock spring

I'm lost from every way possible. I bought my son a 2001 f150 supercrew. Build date of 1/2000. Upon doing some fixes I realized the clock spring was bad. No air bag horn or cruise. The piece is shot. So I went to napa and ordered one. Got it home and in no way will this thing work. I've been searching for hours and cant find this thing except used. The part number is YL3T-14A664-CA. So I've called ford and they say the numbers been changed 3 times. To a 1L3Z-14A664-AA. Ok im in luck right??? Nope....... So I look it up. Doesnt even look close. And it also matches the part I already bought. So now maybe one of you fine people on here have had this issue. I'm lost to all ends. The closest thing I can find is the 98 model spring. Nothing anyone has matches for the 2001 model year. I have a first group supercrew. Maybe they used old stock parts ? Help anyone please

I thank you for you effort. But as I say none of these options are correct. The oem one I removed doesnt even come close to the items that everyone has listed. Most of them have a x pattern on the rear mine is smooth. The center is not a round shaft with 2 flat sides. Men has a notch at the 3 and 9 position and 2 more at 11 and 1. So all the 2001 model ones wont even slide all the way on the steering shaft

mine resembles this one

actually here is photos of mine

Ok that answers the problem. That is a1999-2001 Expedition clockspring. Someone probably swapped columns.

Ford has a lot of vehicle specific switches etc, Common across the industry because of interior designs and options I have a Navigator clockspring set up in my 98 w Gator steering wheel w radio controls. Runs my Android radio head fine.

So I searched around and the closest expedition part was a 98 to 99. And the back is different. I'll have to look some more

ok thanks. I did some more digging and found the old one had broken and there was a piece still on the steering shaft that looked like it was fixed on there and belonged there. Well with a pair of pliers I came off. And low and behold the aftermarket one fit. Now that I feel like a complete moron. Ot oesnt even look the same but it does function as it should. Thank you for your help !!
