Default Clearing 36s

So I found a great deal on some 36" Military tires. I was wondering what lift I would need for it to clear them on my 97 f150 Flareside 4x4. I also don't know to much but I read that I need to regear to actually make my truck efficient and was wondering to what extent I need to do that. Thank you!

Regearing helps with downlow power a bit but won't make it more "efficient". If you want something good on fuel get a car or don't lift your truck. You could probably get away with a 3 inch lift depending on how wide the tires are, I have 35's and a 2.5 inch leveling kit and my tires don't rub.

You can clear 35"s with the stock keys. You don't need aftermarket keys unless you ad blocks or you have a supercrew. You might get away with blocks and aftermarket keys but they will be hell on your front end. You most likely can do it with 3"bl. And reagearing to 4:56 gears will put you back to stock a lot easier on everything.

Im not sure what type of tires they are, http://orlando.craigslist.org/ptd/4072462298.html, hes selling them for $50 each. How exactly would i regear, and would they fit my stock rims, they both fit 16s but idk if these 36s will be too wide?

300 sets...

300x4= 1200 tires... that's a whole lot of rubber if he isn't pulling your leg.
