Default Check engine light and vibration??

Was headed to work this morning and noticed that I had a weird vibration when ever I was on the throttle once I got up to speed it slowly went away but was still there. Then half way to work my check engine light came on and would flash quiet a few times then stay lite then it would flash again and do this all the way to work. Need help no idea what it could be???

Flashing check engine light means misfire. That makes sense too considering it did it when you were hitting the gas a little harder...

A misfire might cause a vibration.

You need to go get the codes read. Most chain parts stores will read the codes for free.

Last time I did my spark plugs I got a faulty plug that caused a severe misfire and when I was accelerating it caused the whole truck to shake. If you are pumping a lot of fuel into the engine trying to rev it up and a cylinder isn't firing i wouldn't be surprised at all if that is causing the rattle.

Agreed with who said to get codes read. Also can start to do some basic checks yourself. Check for spark, fuel, gasket leaks, etc. Usually a misfire is relatively easy to pinpoint.

My bet is on the COP and not on the plugs. Switch the coil with another cylinder and (probably one of the front one's so it's easy to reach) and see if the misfire follows.

So if the misfire follows then it's the cop

Now you're catching on! More often than not it's the COP and not the plug.
