Check engine light
Hey guys I need some sine my check engine light continuously keeps coming back on. First off my truck is a 97 5.4 4x4 Scab with a cai and a tbs and I recently got a sct tuner. Well my problem is that when I got my cai and tbs it took about three months for my cel to come on and it read p1151 lack of HO2S21switches sensor indicates lean see also p2197. That's what it has said every time but I have kept clearing it. Can somebody shed some light on what the heck that means please? And ahead of time thanks a lot 👍

I am thinking that your P2197 code is going on because of a problem with your engine and not because of a bad Oxy sensor. some of the problems would include
Fuel Pressure Change fuel filter if not done for a while ($6 cost)
Vacuum leak Inspect vacuum hoses for damage and replace as necessary
PCV Valve and vac line to PCV Replace the PCV valve ($5 repair)
Stuck EGR valve Remove and clean after you do easy stuff
Blocked EGR tube from manifold to EGR check for obstructions and if clogged, replace tube (about $50 cost)
Dirty MAF sensor and/or air filter Spray MAF with cleaner and replace air filter as necessary.
The above are the low cost possibilities. If that does not fix the problem, you need to start checking for manifold vacuum leak, vacuum leaks down stream from the MAF, fuel pump pressure, bad oxy sensor, cylinder compression, short in electrical wiring, and damaged PCM. Good luck
