Default cb mount pics in cab

i tryed screwing mine into the cheap rubber/plastic **** that ford calls a dash and the screws keep stripping out the holes and the mount screws comes out of the dash, so i dont know what to do

I have mine under the dash with the screws the radio came with. In the pic its just a little Cobra or Midland. But currently I have a full sized Cobra 25 LTD in the same location. Now if you have a center console, I don't know if you can do this.

I was expecting it to hit my shifter in 3rd and 5th but 3rd has about an inch to spare, and 5th barely grazes it. No big deal on 5th though, dosent effect the shifting at all

Mine doesn't even touch. Even with a full sized radio.
