Default Cat Delete?

Hey all,

So the whole in my D-Side cat finally grew enough that the cat split in half and fell off. I havnt had a cross pipe in since I did my transfer case swap (limited budget, just started working again).

So I am wondering if I can cut out the other cats and straight pipe both sides.

My step mom bought her Durango with the cat deleted and it doesn't throw codes and flew through an e-test, will my truck do the same? What happens with my rear O2 sensors? Anyone done the same thing?

Any tips would help, thanks.

Get your o2s deleted from your computer or use the noun foulers like in the link tackle posted. Which Cat is bad? If it's one of your rear ones then you could just delete the other rear one and only run the two smaller ones. I removed the rears and am running the front smaller ones only going into my y pipe into a flowmaster dumped under the truck. No codes

No need for any of that crap with these trucks. Just straight pipe the rears and leave your forward cat's and all O2's alone. No DTC's..none, IF your connections are tight.

So I've been thinking about cutting my muffler off my truck I have my rear Cats removed going into a single and dual out FlowMaster cut after the muffler dumping under the truck. I had my cats are moved about six months ago and so I've never had a code pop up but do you think a code will pop up if I cut right before the muffler? I don't see why it would make a difference since its after the o2s

Anything after the cats can be touched without causing problems. I throw code but it's cause I'm running 100% gutted cats. It's obnoxiously loud.

so you don't think cutting the muffler off will affect the o2s even with my rear cats removed?

Not at all. For the longest time I actual drove with no cat back. It dumped right where it came together at the y. No codes no nothing. The only time you risk throwing codes is when you tinker with the cats or anything in front.

Edit: are your rear cats already removed? With no problems?

yes the rear cats have been removed for about 6 months now with no cel or nothing. Just wanted to be sure it won't throw a code before I cut the muffler off. Don't see why it would throw a code considering there's still 3-4 ft of pipe left after the last o2s even with the muffler cut off
